The Crackdown, Chen Zhe's Fall, and the Worker Revolt

At 32:52 · chapter starts 31:40

The geopolitical dominoes began falling in mid-2025 when Thailand launched attacks on Cambodia targeting scam compounds, with Thai social media coining the term 'Scambodia.' The decisive moment came in January 2025 when Chen Zhe — a Chinese-Cambodian tycoon who ran one of the country's biggest scam conglomerates and served as an advisor to the Cambodian prime minister — was arrested and extradited to China following a US criminal indictment, famously placed on a plane with a bag over his head. The man everyone believed was untouchable had fallen, and scam bosses across Cambodia panicked. Shoaib was moved again — this time to a compound called Park 8. But this time, he and the other workers had phones and social media access, and they could see what was happening. Their bosses were vulnerable. In late January, workers at Park 8 surrounded the Chinese bosses' accommodations carrying sticks and stones, demanding their passports. The cornered bosses relented: leave now or come to the next compound — but leave without any help. Shoaib chose freedom. He was called one by one, handed his passport, and immediately flagged down a car on the street. He paid a driver $150 to take him to Phnom Penh, and on February 1st of 2025, drove away into the darkness, unsure of what came next.

Why the Israel-Killed-Kirk Theory Doesn't Hold Up

#2535 - Andrew Wilson · Aug 5, 2026 News

The microphone-bomb theory fails on every physical front: no smoke, no ignition, mic on the wrong side of the wound. And the .30-06 rifle round used is extensively documented by the US Army — it does not always produce a through-and-through wound. Wilson argues this is a well-studied projectile with well-understood behavior.
