Anthropic train Opus 4.7, so they know exactly how the model thinks, they know what it's good at, what context window tricks make it work as well as it could. They ship Claude Code — their own harness — and then Cursor, a third party with no privileged access, they're able to extract more performance from Opus than Anthropic does.
