Story 3: Jennifer Lopez at Prime Video's Obsessed Fest and the 'Office Romance' Rave

At 43:39 · chapter starts 42:35

Claudia uses Jennifer Lopez's Obsessed Fest appearance as a launchpad for an extended review of 'Office Romance,' the Netflix film JLo made with Ted Lasso writer Brett Goldstein. After a rough year of flopped albums, a self-funded documentary no one liked, and the Ben Affleck divorce, Claudia argues JLo is fully back. 'Office Romance' is an old-school rom-com with a dumb but delightful CEO-of-an-airline premise, genuinely funny writing, and real chemistry between the leads. Even a controversial birth scene in an office — normally the kind of thing Claudia would turn the TV off for — was so funny she didn't mind. Ben, watching Claudia watch the movie, was equally entertained. They agree Brett Goldstein is one of the most in-demand writers in Hollywood and should write more rom-coms. A digression about JLo's best older films (Made in Manhattan, The Wedding Planner, Hustlers) and a tangent about the supporting cast — including Tony Hale and 'Ugly Betty's dad' — rounds out the segment.
