Minnesota 'My Gender Dolls': Interchangeable Genitalia for Children as Young as 4

At 17:00 · chapter starts 15:13

The New York Post first reported that 'My Gender Dolls' — featuring gender-neutral names like Sam, Rory, Avery, and Parker, plus removable internal and external genitalia and more than 100 interchangeable outfits, hairstyles, and accessories — are set to be distributed to some Minnesota educators, school counselors, pediatricians, and mental health providers this fall. The project originated inside the University of Minnesota Medical School's Institute for Sexual and Gender Health, which operates on a roughly $1.4 million research budget, while the broader medical school receives $15 million annually in state funding. Two medical school professors — including licensed psychologist and co-founder Diane Berg — spun the research into a commercial venture. Berg defended the dolls, arguing children need tools to understand gender identity regardless of their anatomy. Megyn Kelly notes that parents may not be notified or given a chance to opt their children out, and that Governor Tim Walz — who previously declared Minnesota a refuge for transgender minors seeking surgery over parents' objections — has been silent on the program.
