Dating Asian Orange: Bobby's Theory on Why Women Date Him

Dating Asian Orange · Jul 27, 2026 Comedy

Bobby's theory: every woman he's dated was either a white woman with a Vietnam-vet PTSD dad rebelling via a Korean boyfriend, or a Midwest woman exhausted by whiteness. Andrew calls him 'the far east you can turn' and the whole thing devolves into geography jokes.

Dating Asian Orange

At 24:50 · chapter starts 24:00

When Andrew presses Bobby on whether any woman would date him without fame, Bobby constructs an elaborate taxonomy of his romantic history. Category one: white women whose fathers served in Vietnam, came home with PTSD, directed that rage at their daughters, and so the daughters rebelled by dating an Asian man — bringing Daddy an Agent Orange flashback in human form. Category two: Midwest women surrounded exclusively by white people all their lives who needed an exit ramp. Bobby argues there are no other categories. Andrew notes that for women fleeing whiteness, the most common move is toward Black culture, making Bobby 'a very specific far-left turn.' Bobby corrects him — it's a Far East turn, which Andrew then calls a far-right turn, sending them into a geography comedy spiral. The bit is outrageous but also structurally sound comedy.
